At this time, the Red Lake Family Health Team asks that all visitors to the clinic wear a cloth mask. This is for the protection of everyone in the building and is based on recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada. Our own staff members are already required to wear a mask when on site.
We request that you bring your own mask. You will be asked, during the screening process to put your mask on. If you do not have a mask, one can be purchased online or, locally at:
• Red Lake Pharmacy
• Water Buffalo
• Wilson’s Fine Foods
• Store 2 Door www.shopthehowey.com
• Not Sew Pro https://enid93.wixsite.com/not-sew-pro…
• La Grotte des Creations https://www.facebook.com/grottecreations
We realize that it may take time for individuals to source masks and we thank-you for taking this request seriously and for respecting the safety of both our patients and staff members.
Please note that skin irritation, asthma, COPD and other chronic lung diseases are NOT a reason not to wear a mask and exemptions will not be provided. (People with chronic breathing problems are at higher risk for severe disease from COVID-19, which is a compelling reason to wear a mask.)
There may be exemptions such as people with autism, intellectual challenges or dementia, facial deformities, young children or people with diagnosed PTSD (longstanding and predating COVID-19). If you believe you should be exempted or if you want to discuss your concerns, please call the clinic for a virtual (telephone or video) appointment. For a copy of the policy, see link below.
